WHY TAE KWON DO?

WHAT DOES TAE KWON DO PROVIDE?

Physical Fitness - Through physical, mental, and philosophical exercise of the mind and body. Tae Kwon Do training helps to develop a healthier cardiovascular system, greater strength, better condition, increased flexibility, and of course, the ability to defend oneself in dangerous situations.

Mental Attitude - The feeling of accomplishment the students receive will help them gain a self-confidence which carries over into their everyday life.

Our program is designed to help men and women:

  • Increase power, stamina flexibility, fitness, and self-defense skills.
  • Release stress, anxiety, tension, and lose weight.
  • Develop self-confidence and self-control.
  • Discover inner strength and inner peace.

WHAT DO CHILDREN GAIN FROM TAE KWON DO?

Children benefit both physically and mentally from the training of Tae Kwon Do with increased self-confidence and self-esteem, children's attitudes change, and their self-discipline improves, both at home and school.

Our special Children's Programs are designed to develop and strengthen your child by building character, confidence, and self-control. When a child discovers his leadership ability, he will have a positive mental attitude and a "Yes I Can" winning habit.

WHAT ARE CLASSES LIKE?

Tiger Chung's offers structured classes with students grouped by age and by color of belt. Kukkiwon certified instructors along with Grandmaster Ho Yung Chung teach all classes. Beginning students learn stretching exercises and basic principles of Tae Kwon Do, such as kicks, punches, and blocks. Intermediate classes practice combinations of defensive and offensive movements that require greater concentration. Advanced students continue to refine their technique, emphasizing control, power, and accuracy. Their training also focuses more on self-defense movements.
